Background Huichol Indians are an indigenous ethnic group of western central Mexico. One of the last tribes in N. America who live as they did in pre-Colombian times Window to the past Highly religious group: peyote and animism Religious beliefs and dreams expressed through their art

What is yarn painting? Is a picture; background is covered with a mixture of beeswax and pine resin into which yarn is pressed The picture is not really painted, just looks that way because a picture is created from yarn Expression of faith and feelings (dreams) Mirror between our hearts and everything in the universe.
