9 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:1–2

14 Live out the time of your sojourn in reverent fear of God because:
God is our Father He is the impartial judge of each person’s work You were redeemed from evil ways Fearing God results in hope

15 Give greater thought to the consequences than to the immediate pleasures.
Start each day renewing your sense of reverence for God. Throughout the day, focus on Christ, for that strengthens your sanctification and renews your hope.

16 The Solid Rock My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness I dare not trust the sweetest frame But wholly lean on Jesus’ Name

17 The Solid Rock When darkness veils his lovely face I rest on His unchanging grace In every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the veil

18 The Solid Rock His oath, His covenant, His blood Support me in the whelming flood When all around my soul gives way He then is all my Hope and Stay

19 The Solid Rock When He shall come with trumpet sound Oh may I then in Him be found Dressed in His righteousness alone Faultless to stand before the throne
