Negative Exponents Move the base with the negative exponent to the other part of the fraction to make it positive

Product of Powers Add exponents when you have the same base and are multiplying Quotient of Powers Subtract exponents when you have the same base & are dividing

Power of a Power Multiply exponents when a power is raised to another power Power of a Product When a product within the parenthesis is raised to a power, each factor is raised to the power

Power of a Quotient When a quotient within the parenthesis is raised to a power, each factor is raised to the power. Zero Power Any number with the exponent zero is equal to 1
