3. Timetable
Year 3 PPA day (Planning, Preparation, Assessment) every other Wednesday, all day.
During this time the children have an EX day
PE – Tuesday afternoon (outdoor)
Wednesday afternoon (indoor)
Library – Friday pm

5. Targets In children’s books On display in classrooms
Dedicated learning time

6. Rewards
For following the school and class rules, children are rewarded with:
Golden Time –Children are given 30 minutes each week. Golden Time can also be lost – with encouragement to earn it back.
Reward Chart with stickers and prizes.
Reading Karate bands.

7. Spellings
Every Friday we test the children on their weekly spellings – this will be in the form of a spelling test.
Every Friday the children are given new spellings which link to their phonics / spelling rules.
A copy can be found in their Reading Records.

8. Homework
Set on a Friday which should then be returned to school by the following Friday.
‘Homework challenge’ linked to their current topic. Due to the nature of the new curriculum this ‘homework challenge’ is an optional task. These can be found in the blue Reading Records.

9. Routines Lunchboxes left on Year 3 trolley Tuck Shop
Lunchtime 12:15 – 1:15
Children are dismissed from the bottom playground at 3:15pm
