To inform TSMs of the importance of credentialing programs and how they are valuable when job searching.

3. Credentialing Federal, state or local laws may require credentials
Credentials may improve promotion opportunities
Demonstrate skills are on par with civilian peers

4. Credentialing
Two primary types:
Licensure
Certification

5. Licensure
Granted by Governmental agencies for practicing a specific occupation when standards are met.
Example: Doctors, nurses must be licensed through the state, etc.

6. Certifications
Non-government agencies/ private sector companies may grant certificates to individuals who meet qualifications
Qualifications are set by professional agencies and/or manufacturing companies
