4. Qatari Road Structure Project
Objective: Rehabilitate and upgrade existing roads network through spot improvement (crossing points rehabilitation or construction)
Means rural roads to be improved have year-round humanitarian access to vulnerable groups and returnees in Darfur through rehabilitation of crossing points and construction of culverts (small Structures) where needed on feeder roads to returnee sites.
This Contract cover three structures in South Darfur

5. Scope of work
Construct three structures in three locations of East Darfur
Coordination of sites are
Site 1 Nyala -Al Ryad road, Al Rayd Wadi GPS mE m N
Six Cell (2.5X5M) Frame Culvert

6. General Conditions Specific Conditions
Meeting with local communities shall be conducted at the vicinity of each location
Contractor shall ensure to take care of safety of people at work as well the people at vicinity,
Take care of local environment and not to clear unnecessary land
Camp site shall be well away from village not to disturb the local population
Ensure to engage local labour and material as much as possible, Female participation is encourage
Shall clear site upon construction and leave as you began, All disturbed areas shall be covered with top soil and grass
Specific Conditions
All construction material shall be imported from South Darfur
Site are in south and North Nyala
Both Sites shall commenced simultaneously and complete together
Construction material abundantly available near by
There is a element of security with all sites, Your rates shall reflect on these issues. UNOPS will not separately reimburse any cost related to the security

7. Deliverable
Duration of the contract 12 weeks from the date of exchange
Performance bond is 0.3% of contractual value
LD is 0.1% a day up to 10% contract value
Progress will be closely monitored and the contract will be terminated of the acceptable progress against the plan is not made
Payment will be made progressively each month.
Contractor shall participate in Progress meeting 1st week every month
