Saladin stuck at Siege of Beaufort. 28th August 1189 – Guy establishes Camp outside walls of Acre. 31st August 1189 – Saladin arrives and Besieges the encircling Christian force. 15th September 1189 – Saladin makes Failed frontal assault on Christians. 4th October 1189 – Guys force grows to 30,000. Assault launched on Saladin’s Camp. Heaps of corpses cause disease. Late October 1189 – Trench warfare Ensues as Saladin licks his wounds and Awaits aid from Egypt.
