2 Foundations Create: a cross-university network of staff, academics, students, and alumni with shared goals and expertise and common interests Build: new communities of experts based on the mutual exchange of experience, knowledge, skills and practice Enable: creative approaches to enhancing teaching excellence and student experiences which transcend departmental, faculty, and disciplinary boundaries Give: opportunities to all who wish to engage

3 Aim and Purpose Use the cross-university communities of staff and students to enhance processes, experiences and try new ideas. Help to embed a culture of educational excellence focused on building and sharing best practice. To support the Transforming Lives strategy and the Shaping Futures Board KPIs.

4 Membership Membership of the Hallam Guild is open to all staff, students, and alumni on an equal and equitable basis Conferred at the point individuals sign up through the Hallam Guild website. Information and membership, may be open to externals who also wish to engage with our work. Members can sign up to Hallam Guild groups and events.

5 Guild activities Support & sponsor projects and groups which
enhance our approaches to teaching expertise and student engagement A Visiting Fellows Programme Hallam Guild On-Line – website and information repository Events, seminars and activities Support for projects and groups.

6 Our Projects Areas we supported in the last academic year:
Extended/foundation or 'top up' degrees Post graduate student engagement Digital engagement Active Hallam General staff-student engagement All levels of academic, professional services staff and students £1-10k of funding per project

7 Inspiring Reading & Writing
Academic Year 18/19 Specific focus on 'Applied Learning' for projects This academic year - 11 projects & over 40 groups Split into 8 themes Building Communities Developing Pedagogic Expertise Enabling Equity Enhancing Employability Leading Research Inspiring Reading & Writing Supporting Students Promoting Wellbeing
