Trace the design quickly onto the tracing paper ready to use on the clay panel.

2. Now collect the following equipment:

A rolling pin
A potter’s knife
2 THIN guide sticks (ensure they are the same thickness)
A lump of clay

4. 5 minutes

5. Roll out your clay between the guide sticks on the sugar paper.
40 minutes
Roll out your clay between the guide sticks on the sugar paper.
Place your tracings onto the clay and score over your designs.
Think about which textures you will use and begin to add these into your tile.
Think about carving into some areas and embossing others.
You must complete 1 tile per lesson!

6. 5 minutes
Once you have completed your 4 tiles and they are leather hard you are ready to assemble them with slip.
