Warmup 22-2 (Copy) Life in the trenches: Soldiers on the western front had to carry the following: Rifle, bayonet, grenades, 170 rounds of ammunition (bullets), gas mask, shovel, wire cutters, water bottle, food rations, medical supplies, extra clothing, and a portable cooking stove w/ fuel. Total Weight: 60-70lbs 1. Describe the living conditions in the trenches. 2. Could staying in the trench become dangerous? Why? 3.
