Considering I had not performed well at all on my first midterm, I worked really hard this time. Since I haven't taken Data-structures at all, OS is pretty challenging as a course. I just wish, the Professor teaches a bit slow. I have trouble understanding concepts at his pace in class. But thank you for giving us the sample midterm paper. Hoping to do much better in the Final.
Everything is great.
Please go over concepts that require memory diagrams or other diagrams on the document camera so it is easier to read. The chalkboard is not in a well-lit area.

A final review along with solutions would be nice. I accidentally submitted another survey using this id.
i think that the course is very good. Every thing that is lectured as well as what is on the slides is on the exam.. there are no major surprises its a good course
This test was a good one, felt like it was put together better. Really just made some careless mistakes on test.

Comparing my practice midterm answers to the solutions really helped me gauge what areas I needed to strengthen before the test. I also think reiterating things during class like you have been helped reemphasize important sections. However, one thing I think that can be improved is the online assignments-- not having any sample output does not help me know if I am close/getting to the correct output. Checksum does not let me gauge how off I am with the assignment.
The vocab is more than I would like but its important. I just wish there weren't so many slides to look at preparing for a test.

In class you go over everything well but the slides are not always clear without your explanation. I started keeping you slides open during the lectures and taking my own notes in the note box so if I go back to review later it is clear.
Have the quizzes be part of the participation grade and all terminology be a BlackBoard quiz. Only thing on the test should be the actual implementation.

This is a very effective course! I'm hoping the last part of the class has a large section on sockets. I want to learn about network stuff
Solutions are great to view after doing practicing exams! Additionally it helps because I work full time so I can’t make office hours. Thanks for putting out the solutions.

I felt that I was much more prepared for this test due to the lectures and material covered being close to the exam material.
The midterm exam was fair as one’s grade will strongly correlate to how effective they studied.
Having the solutions really helped me this midterm. There were somethings I was doing wrong that I was able to catch and fix because I had the solutions to check myself with

I would have loved if you didn't switch from Mb to Kb without giving us a sheet to make these conversions during Midterm 2. I also felt we could have gone over Lecture 08 a bit more in detail as I believe that affected my midterm 2 grade as well. Those algorithms what threw me off the most is that both practice exams were with only three blows of memory. I could not find any examples with four blocks of memory and if there are any I would try to high light those prior to taking the midterm.
