Being able to think above the line effects our attitude, mood and our positive approach to life and learning.

Which side are you on??? This is what life above the line looks like… I have ownership of my behaviour- I can admit and accept my mistakes and fix them with or without help. O- Ownership A- Accountability R- Responsibility I am accountable for my behaviour choices- I can make a change to learn and grow. I take responsibility for my behaviour- I can work harder and learn from my choices and help others to learn too.

Which side are you on??? This is what life below the line looks like B- Blame E- Excuses D- Denial I blame others for my behaviour- It is always someone else's fault. I make excuses for my behaviour choices- I make up reasons why things can’t be done or why they happened. I tell myself that there is no problem with my behaviour- I have done nothing wrong.

THINKING BELOW THE LINE
People who live below the line tend to have a very negative outlook on life. Living below the line is often known as the easy way out. We make weak choices. We think using the broken rule.

Do you know someone who is always blaming others, denying responsibility and making excuses about situations?

Do you recognise some of these traits in people around you or even in yourself? Discuss together!!!

Think of a time when you have blamed others entirely for a problem. Did that problem get resolved? Talk to your partner

Think of a time where you have taken some ownership for a problem with above the line thinking. Was the outcome different? Share with your partner and class.
