Effect of other nucleoside analogues on p38 MAPK phosphorylation levels.
Effect of other nucleoside analogues on p38 MAPK phosphorylation levels. A, MM.1S cells were treated with 10 μmol/L 8-Cl-Ado for the indicated times. B, MM.1S cells were exposed to 10 μmol/L of the drug indicated for 4 h. Cells were lysed as described in Materials and Methods. Protein (30 μg) was separated by gel electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membrane, and probed with phospho-p38 MAPK (Thr180/Tyr182) antibody. Blots were stripped and reprobed with total p38 MAPK antibody to ensure that drug treatment does not affect total protein levels and to ensure equal loading and transfer. Representative experiments; two additional studies yielded equivalent results. Kulsoom Ghias et al. Mol Cancer Ther 2005;4: ©2005 by American Association for Cancer Research
