Uva Wellassa University was established on the 1st of June 2005 in Badulla, as the 14th national university in Sri Lanka

Staff – 350
Internet Bandwidth is 112 M – approx devices are connecting during 1 day period.

4. Eduroam Network
We have installed Eduroam network in the university premises

NPS (Network Policy Server) playing the intermediate role between active directory and NRO.
Windows 2012 domain controller handle the UWU accounts –

Ruckus Wireless Controller – control the university WiFi network
4 – SSID -> UWU Staff(vlan-110) , UWU Students(vlan-100), Eduroam(vlan-120) and UWU Visitor
Separate VLAN (120) allocated to Eduroam SSID as well as a separate IP addresses
Facilitate easy monitoring of the Eduroam users
