Estate Worker – Home Park – Windsor
Job summary • To assist in the maintenance of the Home Park and associated areas to the highest possible standards. Essential functions of the Job To contribute in planning of work schedules and organise resources for day to day work operations. To carry out planned annual and reactive maintenance to amenity and general areas of the Park including mowing, strimming, leafing, pruning, weeding, planting and other seasonal general duties. To ensure machinery, tools and materials are maintained and in proper working order and carry out required checks keeping records up to date. To carry out inspections and safety checks and liaise with supervisor on issues arising from inspections and checks. To assist colleagues by working as a team in carrying out designated work such as mulching, ground clearance and other associated general work. To carry out other associated departmental duties as requested and discussed with line manager. Ability to work independently and as a team member Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors and other work colleagues. To act in a confidential manner when dealing with The Crown Estate’s activities. Skills and experience required At least two years practical experience including use of associated tools and machinery and other general estate maintenance duties. Experience in use of machinery operating skills including mowers, strimmers, turf slitters and scarifiers. Relevant health & safety knowledge that enables job holder to carry out assessments. Full valid driving licence. A proven ability to work in an outdoor environment and undertake heavy manual work Business Area - Windsor Department - Home Park Pay level - 2 Responsible to - Supervisor Contract type - Permanent Budget Accountability - N/A People Responsibility - N/A
