Define Students in Gaza’s education is on the line due to a long electrical crisis Electricity is only available for just hours each day The lack of light and electricity in the day prevents them from reaching their academic goals and receiving a proper education. Families are unable to afford generators Even when organizations try to help, conflict always gets in the way, making no electrical project permanent.

Discover World Bank, among other world wide organizations are helping Gaza get electricity. From our Explore the Fields project and Sara Badiei presentation: We learned that conflict is a major effect in the destruction of electricity projects. Public facilities such as schools and hospitals are having a hard time helping patients/students without electricity Solar Panels are expensive, however Gaza has lots of sunlight, and a good supply of solar panels. Some students use candles to study at home, but sometimes this creates house fires.

Dream: Some ideas we have thought of so far
Solar energy Go Fund Me/ Awareness website Skyping schools In Gaza - Checking if they have the materials that are needed - Showing them how to build - Our personal journey Notifying the public, raising money for the crisis 3D Printing

Deliver DREAM What is our idea?
Solar panel light container (eco friendly, rechargeable, easily usable in Gaza’s climate) Why did we chose to do that? We wanted to create something to help improve a students life, even if it was small. If we have the benefit of electricity, and in Gaza they don’t, why not use our resources and electricity to help. - Benefits of solar panels What has our progress been? Videos Research Bought supplies Sketched ideas Collaborated ideas What challenges have you faced? Mis communication Light connected to solar panel is not bright Size of solar panel Clear connections with others Deliver

Debrief Some of the challenges of the quality of the process we went through Connections ( ing, response) Everyone knows their job but sometimes for group ideas (interfering, miscommunication) Supplies (quality, shape, will it be good for our project? Price) Questions for people we are hoping to connect with
