Figure 8b. Iliac arterial stenosis in a 53-year-old man with left leg claudication. An ABIankle-brachial index of 1.07 on the right and 0.71 on the left were found at rest. Doppler waveforms (not shown) were triphasic on the right and monophasic on the left from the common femoral artery to the ankle. (a) Exercise study demonstrates a drop in the left ABIankle-brachial index of minute after exercise (arrow) that returned to baseline after 4 minutes (arrowhead). The right ABIankle-brachial index remained stable. (b) Reconstructed three-dimensional (3Dthree-dimensional) image demonstrates a focal segment of severe stenosis (arrowhead) in the left external iliac artery.
