Serum osteopontin (sOPN) and C reactive protein (CRP) in patients with giant cell arteritis (GCA) in remission according to treatment. (A) sOPN in patients with GCA in remission with high-dose prednisone (PDN) (≥20 mg/day), low-dose prednisone (≤10 mg/day) or with tocilizumab (TCZ). (B) Serum CRP concentration in patients with GCA in remission with high-dose prednisone (≥20 mg/day), low-dose prednisone (≤10 mg/day) or with TCZ. **p=0.017 vs high-dose prednisone group and p<0.001 vs low-dose prednisone group. Sensitivities (minimal detectable concentration) of OPN and CRP immunoassay are 0.011 ng/mL and 0.010 ng/mL, respectively. Sergio Prieto-González et al.
