SPS5 Students will compare and contrast the phases of matter as they relate to atomic and molecular motion. a. Compare and contrast the atomic/molecular motion of solids, liquids, gases and plasmas. b. Relate temperature, pressure, and volume of gases to the behavior of gases.

Plasma Matter consisting of charged particles at high temperatures.
Examples: sun, lightning

Behavior of Gases Charles’s Law: As the temperature of a gas increases, the volume increases as long as the pressure stays constant.

Behavior of Gases Boyle’s Law: If you increase the pressure of a gas and keep the temperature constant, the volume will decrease.

The end!
