The Conon Bridge Locality Plan
2
Where has it come from? Mid-Ross Community Partnership was created in 2016 as a result of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act The Act is designed to enable communities to do more for themselves and have more of a say in the decisions that affect them and in doing so, will help communities to reduce inequalities. The Partnership brings together statutory bodies as well as volunteer organisations in Mid-Ross. Like all Community Partnerships, Mid-Ross were required to identify the communities which could most benefit from assistance in tackling inequalities. In Mid-Ross these were Dingwall, Muir of Ord and Conon Bridge. Mid-Ross Community Partnership have to work with these communities to develop ‘Locality Plans’ which identify not just the ways in which inequalities are present but also community-led solutions for how they can be tackled.
