5
Haggai 1:6 You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes."

As then, many believers find their sowing and reaping disconnected.

Reasons for Disconnect
Something that has or hasn’t happened in the spirit Character flaws, etc; sin, impure motives or attitudes, misdirected habits or actions Improper management of God’s resources Lack of knowledge on how to reap (most common) NOTE: The fool is one who makes an intellectual decision to choose moral perversion as a life-style!

Financial Turning Points
a. Turning Point = reversal of fortune b. Turning point comes from strong spiritual activity Examples: a. Job begins on the right side of Mark 4:25 (Job 1:3) b. Strong spiritual activity begins Job 1:9
11
b. God again speaks (strong spiritual activity) Job 38:1-2

13
Money and Character Flaws
Character flaws are something which can server our sowing from our reaping – God will let us have some ob both (money an character flaws) just not a lot of both. In Haggai 1:6 something ruptured the money bag of God’s children!
14
Moral Mistakes a. Immorality – Prov 5:10 - Strangers shall be filled with your wealth b. Money by wickedness (Prov 10:3) - The Lord casts away the substance of the wicked c. Troubling Your Family (Prov 11:29)

21
Attitudes and motives are the main scriptural concern regard money.
a. Wrong attitudes and motives block increase – James 4:3 b. Pure attitudes brings increase - Proverbs 4:3-4 c. Scriptural Warnings 1. Love of money (1 Tim 6:10) 2. Serving Money (Matthew 6:24)
22
3. Focusing on luxury – Luke 12:16-21
God wants His children to prosper, but in the mist of prospering, God also wants our hearts right, our motives right and our thinking right when it comes to money. We need to get on the right side of Mark 4:25 and stay there. During this teaching, the purpose of it, is to get God’s children in a position of money flowing to them for God’s kingdom, not away.
