2. Clinic Tasks
For EVERY patient seen in EVERY outpatient clinic (primary care, subspecialty), complete the following tasks:
Charge completion (billing)
Medication reconciliation
All orders (lab/MRI/future appts)
Complete note and sign

3. Home
1. “Home” tab 2. “Patients for” Select from dropdown menus if clinic is using resident panels (eg USC GI Resident 1…) 3. “Search” Use MRN to find patient if clinic is using paper charts 1 3 2

4. Diagnosis & Problems 1. “Diagnosis & Problems” tab
2. Select diagnosis addressed during your clinic visit Can add new diagnoses directly OR Can convert problems to diagnoses 1 2

5. Provider View
Pro-Tip Scroll down to find “New Order Entry” to perform free-text searches for orders
To complete all clinic tasks, make sure at least 1 diagnosis is selected. Then: Select Provider View > General Medicine Tab Select Visit Charges > Initial or Established Pt? > Level of care provided > Phone Visit Select Labs/Diagnostics OR Use “New Order Entry” to search for labs/diagnostics
4. Click green button to modify and sign orders 3 1 4 2

6. Medication Reconciliation2
1. “Orders” tab
2. “Document History” > Confirm medications pt is currently taking > Modify compliance
3. “Reconciliation” tab > Select Outpatient > For medications: Green arrow = Continue Red Square = Stop Pill bottle = Prescribe

Pro-Tip Selecting “Acknowledge Remaining Home Meds” will continue (but not prescribe) all meds 4
