2. Formation of Stalactites
Water carries calcium bicarbonate through the cracks of the roof of the cave
As these drops come out the cracks travel along the roof of the cave, they will at some point evaporate and deposit calcite on the roof
This eventually forms a stalactite on the ceiling
Simulated these droplets using DLA by having one source of water from the center and water drops also coming from all sides
Each drop would evaporate with a certain probability
Also, the steeper the gradient of the surface, the higher the probability is that the drops would travel downward
Probability = -10^-(g/10) + 1 where ‘g’ is the gradient
