4. Why does Louisiana experience so much flooding?
The land in New Orleans is located below sea level. This means that the land we sit on is lower than the height of the Gulf of Mexico and other bodies of water.

5. How do we adapt to being Below Sea Level?
We build levees to protect our cities, homes, and even crops from flooding.

Air Pollution- Air pollution is when unwanted chemicals, gasses, and particles enter the air and the atmosphere causing harm to animals, plants, and people.

Do you know what a refinery is? An Oil refinery is a factory where crude oil is transformed or changed and refined into more useful products such as petroleum, gasoline, diesel fuel, heating oil, kerosene, and jet fuel.
