OLI IMPORTANT: Please use Firefox or Chrome as your web browser.
Go to the Open Learning Initiative (OLI) website: and click Sign Up in the upper right corner. Complete all fields in the Sign Up box on the left side of the screen. For Choose Account ID, the field automatically populates with your address. If you wish to change it, you should do so at this time.

OLI On the Confirm Your Account Information page, review the account information you entered. If you wish to make any changes, click the Edit Account button. If your information is correct, click the Confirm Account button. Read the statements in the Online Consent Form. Since you have already agreed to participate in the study, to be consistent, please select “I Agree”. Selecting “I Do Not Agree” will not allow your data to be included in the study. Then select “Submit”. You will be presented with your OLI “My Courses” home page. Under "My Courses" enter the course key _____________________________ and click the GO button.

OLI Verify that the correct course appears by confirming that the correct instructor is listed. Click the Register button. Finally, click on Enter Course. Now that you have an ID and are registered in the course, you can access your OLI My Courses homepage and view the online textbook by going to at any time and click the Sign in link in the upper right corner of the screen.

Tell the group one thing you’d like everyone to know Say a fruit name (or animal name) that starts with the last person’s first name Say the names of everyone that came before

Diving deeper into stats
As a group you will need to decide how you will collect the data from the ENTIRE class After your group as your data, your group must decide how to best present/display the data for everyone to see and understand. The group will create a poster for everyone to view your information. Your group will be responsible for presenting your poster and explaining what information you gathered, what your display shows and explain your choice of display.

Diving deeper into stats
Everyone gets a post it for “kudos” & “Criticisms” for all other posters. After feedback is given groups will revise their presentation/poster according to the feedback given. Be specific with your feedback

The questions How many units are you taking this semester?
What is your favorite subject? Do you like math in general? Use your smart phone or a friends and map the distance to your house from school and record the information to the nearest 10th of a mile. Rate your math skills on a scale form 1 – 5, where 1 means your skills are terrible and 5 means your skills are excellent. Which social media do you use most often? How old, in years, is your mom? In which month were you born?
