Welcome! Early Career Faculty Forum Series Meets every other Wednesday from 4 – 5PM All pre-tenure/pre-promotion faculty invited!

3 CAFE Objectives CAFE aims to:
Enable and support faculty excellence at all stages of career Maintain balance among the teaching, research, and service missions of Missouri S&T Establish and sustain CAFE as the foremost faculty development unit on campus

Early career faculty who regularly attend the forums will be able to: Develop usable products at sessions that can be applied to promote student and faculty success Navigate the Missouri S&T culture and available resources, and network with colleagues Refine skills for teaching and learning Assemble an effective promotion and tenure dossier

September 3rd: Dr. Costas Tsatsoulis, Vice Chancellor of Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, will provide an overview of activities of the Office of Sponsored Research and how his office can help you to secure funding for your research. At noon in 120 Fulton RSVPs are required

19 RESEARCH MENTORING LUNCH for CASB
October 1st: Mr. Keith Strassner, Assistant Vice Provost for Technology and Business Development, will cover how faculty can work with industrial partners and provide advice on best practices for these activities. At noon in 120 Fulton RSVPs are required

20 RESEARCH MENTORING LUNCH for CASB
November 5th: Dr. Susan Renoe, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension & Engagement at the University of Missouri, and Dr. Sara Vassmer, Director of The Connector, are members of ARIS (Advancing Research Impact in Society) and the NABI (National Alliance for Broader Impacts). They work with faculty across all four UM campuses on the broader impacts of their research. At noon in 120 Fulton RSVPs are required

December 3rd: Ms. Susan Hernandez, grants manager at the Saint Louis Science Center, will discuss possible opportunities to collaborate on federal grants with the Science Center. At noon in 120 Fulton RSVPs are required
