Who are we? What is an “Old Crow” – name dates back to WWII
Today: The Association of Old Crows is an international organization for individuals who have common interests in Electronic Warfare (EW), Electromagnetic Spectrum Management Operations (EMSO), Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), Information Operations (IO), and other information related capabilities. The Association of Old Crows provides a means of connecting members and organizations nationally and internationally across government, defense, industry, and academia to promote the exchange of ideas and information, and provides a platform to recognize advances and contributions in these fields

AOC Mission The AOC advocates the need for a strong defense capability emphasizing electronic warfare and information operations to government, industry, academia, and the public. AOC provides a forum for sharing ideas and experiences through communication, education and leadership. Our mission is to help defent and protect our war fighters (who are also our fathers, mothers, sons and daughters).

The Membership AOC’s membership includes executives, scientists, engineers, managers, operators, educators, academia, and military personnel. AOC has 14,151 members in 47 countries, including 65 chapters in 19 countries. Windy City Chapter currently has 630 members

Professional Courses AOC Professional Development Courses (PDCs) are focused on Electronic Warfare, Information Operations, and related disciplines. Each year AOC produces 12 to 16 Professional Development Courses attended by 10 to 35 students.

Annual Convention AOC’s Annual International Symposium and Convention.
Annual Convention regularly has 450 to 850 attendees and 85 to 100 exhibit booths.

The Conferences AOC Professional Conferences are focused on Electronic Warfare, Information Operations, and related disciplines. Each year AOC produces 9-to-12 Conferences and Symposia (2-3 days) attended by 50 to 450 individuals.

Scholarships The AOC Educational Foundation, an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit, annually offers $60K in educational scholarships and Enlisted Tuition Grants ($2.4M since 1986). The Windy City Chapter annually gives out $17,500 in scholarships to local area college students studying in a STEM field with an interest in National Defense
