The function of noun is to ‘Name’ someone something.
Nouns : The function of noun is to ‘Name’ someone something. Type of Nouns :- 1) Proper noun 2) Common Noun 3) Collective Noun 4) Abstract Noun

Countable :- People – book, pen, sister
Uncountable : - milk, gold, honesty Material :- things–nylon /cotton, silk, water

Pronouns :- A pronoun – used for / instead of / in the place of a noun. Function as nouns – do not describe noun. e.g. Rahul and Sachin are good friends. They are classmates. He, She, it, I, We, you, they, that, these

Verb :- word (group) – performs the essential – telling function.
(action – word) be verb - e.g. Rahul plays She is beautiful. you may go . Transitive (the verb having object) E.g. Sachin reads a book. Intransitive (the verb having no object) e.g. Sachin has two books.

Adjectives :- Word functions as an adjective when it tells more about the person or thing named by a noun or pronoun Adds to the meaning of a noun or pronoun – is said to qualify that noun or pronoun e.g. Lazy boy, little time, Types of Adjectives Adjectives of Quality Adjectives of Quantity Adjective of Number Demonstrative Adjectives Interrogative Adjectives

Adverb : the name establishes the link between adverbs & verbs
Adverbs add to the meaning of Verbs – Adjectives – Adverbs. e.g. 1) Rama runs quickly = modifies – verb (manner) 2) This is a very sweet mango–modifies–adjective (degree) 3) Anjali reads quite clearly-modifies–adverb (how-extent) Types :- Adverbs of Time (When) Frequency (how often) 3. Preposition :- a preposition is the first word of a phrase that contains a noun or pronoun.
in the garage, on the table, with him, to the west e.g. 1. The Car (in the garage) has a flat battery. 2. The river flows under a bridge. Preposition :- Adverb Come across . Come across the road now.

Conjunction : joins together – connects, word – groups. e.g. and, but, neither, nor, either, or, As if, As though, As well as, In order that.. Conjunctions are two types:1) Coordinating 2) Subordinating Interjection :- Words to express feelings or attitudes – when written followed by exclamation mark Oh !, mn!, Hello!, Alas!, Harrah! , Ah!, Hush!, Huzza !, Bravo!, for Shame!, Well done!, Good gracious!,
