1. The CO2 Dragster TIJ 101
Upon finishing your brainstorming and Final Drawing (with dimensions and ruled lines)
The following steps with be taken for fabrication and completion of your Dragster

2. Step 1
Get Block of wood

3. Step 2 Layout hole location for the CO2 Cartridge.
Make sure you mark the bottom.

4. Follow the proper safety and set-up procedures for the drill press and drill the CO2 hole.

5. Layout and drill holes for the axels.

6. Layout dragster design on the wood

7. Cut the dragster leaving the line.
Make relief cuts if needed.
Make sure the bandsaw guard in not more than 10 mm above your work.

8. Shape the car to the design required. Rasp or 80 grit paper.

9. Sand the car using 120 grit paper.
Sand with the grain of the wood

10. Sand the car with 220 grit paper.

11. Decide on the type of finish
Paint or stain

12. Prime the car.
Primer seals the wood and gives a better finish.

13. Light sand 220 grit

14. Paint the car. Less is better.
Spray painting must be done at home.

15. Get eyelets and install them
Get eyelets and install them. Make sure they do not line up with the axels. Also, check and make sure they do not rub on the floor.

16. Do ramp test. This checks how straight your car goes.

17. Ready for racing.
