A, the ovarian cancer cell lines SK-OV-3, OV-MZ-30, and OV-MZ-31 were treated for 16 hours with or without 100 nmol/L dexamethasone as indicated and subjected to semiquantitative RT-PCR analysis for the expression of cIAP2 and β-actin. B, the ovarian cancer cell lines OV-CAR-3, SK-OV-3, OV-MZ-30, and OV-MZ-31 were treated for 24 hours with or without 100 nmol/L dexamethasone as indicated and subjected to Western blot analysis for the expression of cIAP2 and β-actin. C, expression levels of cIAP2 as shown in (B) and that of an identical experiment (not shown) were determined by image analysis (Bio-Rad Quantity One, Bio-Rad, Munich, Germany) and related to the corresponding β-actin expression level as an internal standard (C).
