2. Summary of Key Findings
With very few exceptions, the Core is working—but it could work better
College advisors: students do not encounter difficulties completing the Core.
Faculty: concern about changing state environment.
2. Writing remains a crucially important part of the WSU Core; needs to be supported.
3. Some elements of 2012 Core have not been fully implemented.
4. Communication and awareness of Core needs to be strengthened.
5. Climate for Gen Ed in Ohio is changing; we need to respond strategically.

3. Recommendations Communication
Promote importance of Core; enhance website, written communication (brochure); continue careful advising; systematically gather (and share) exit interview data
2. Faculty Oversight
Re-charge Faculty committees for Core to help implement initiatives; examine impact of CCP and other State changes; work on IW and MC issues that arise; consider faculty liaison to work with Assistant VP for University Curricular Programs
