Limited awareness concerning possible EE savings
The housing associations are more willing to invest in energy efficiency if they see the potential benefits,
The government subsidies are available for housing associations only if they present the energy audit and investment plan

6. Energy Efficiency Finance Facility for Residential Buildings (EEFFRB)
EEFFRB was created in 04/2019 to support energy transitions processes in the area of housing associations (mainly thermomodernisation investments with an aim of deep retrofitting)
The ELENA support enabled for creation of specialised team within the Bank that are responsible for EE investments and the package of services for housing associations.
It is expected that the facility will enable to mobilise minimum 800 projects worth 78M EUR until 03/2022
The expected results of the planned projects are:
Energy Efficiency – Annual total savings in the final energy consumption of 184 GWh
CO2 reductions – Annual total emission reductions of t CO2 eq.
