18 Helpful Photo tips Be aware of surroundings (don’t have a pole or tree sticking out of someone’s head!) Make sure eyes are OPEN and mouths are CLOSED. Take plenty of photos to ensure you have at least ONE good one!

20 WHAT TO INCLUDE Place photos in order of event.
Write a note describing the event. Enhance with colorful paper and/or designs. Add certificates, awards, etc. that will lay flat. Write a note describing the award and the date presented. Include photos of the VFW and Auxiliary working together and/or joint projects.

22 MAKE A VIDEO SLIDESHOW Make sure you get permission from those you’re filming if you intend to share the video with the public (e.g. YouTube). No longer than five (5) minutes in length. Show highlights of the President’s year. Add background music. Consider creating an extended version with all the photos from your President’s Year for their personal use.
