What is Descriptive Analytics Examination of data or content, usually by invoking manually Typically answering the question “What happened?” or “What is happening?” Characterized by traditional reports and charts (visualizations)

Benefits Provides detailed analysis of past Provides operational view of present data Can be tailored by role/function to provide appropriate context Can be filtered by different dimensions E.g.
