1. Fernhill School EARA Update June 2018

2. Our EARA group is expanding!
We now have 18 members
We meet every Friday lunchtime in the Unity Room
All our members are from Year 8
Attendance is very high - nearly everyone comes every Friday!
We have lunch and discussions, and take action!

3. Examples of what we’ve been addressing this term:
Looking at Global injustices and how we are linked to this
Helping to ensure that all students in school feel valued
Developing our link work with our local Community Special School
Learning about events that have shaped Britain such as the murder of Stephen Lawrence 25 years ago

4. Our Fairtrade Campaign
EARA members wrote to
the local supermarkets
Some replied and we even
had an invitation from the
manager of Waitrose!

5. We have gained the next level of Fairtrade Award from the Fairtrade Foundation

6. Showing support for students observing Ramadan

7. Link work with Henry Tyndale School
