Class group: 3L (Scienze applicate) CLIL Team: English teacher (Chiaretta Capodaglio), Physics teacher ( Manlio Bellesi) , ICT teacher (Fausto Curzi) . Language and Level: English B1 + Content: Conflict Content Outcomes: After reading the books from the library with the aim of working on the theme of ‘conflict’, the students came up with the idea of making a survey addressed to all students taking part in the project .

3 Objectives of the survey:
Get a first feedback on how the library is being used; Learn how to make an online survey; Learn how to process survey results; Learn to make a written and oral report on the results Teaching methods: group works and class activities with the English and Physics teachers, group work with the ICT teacher in the computer lab .

4 Steps: Step 1 : identify survey objectives.
Students have worked in small groups to elicit ideas about the survey’s main objectives. Students have agreed that the survey’s main objectives are to assess the students’ satisfaction with the ‘Clil Read on’ project and to report problems or weak points. Step 2 : identify survey questions. Students have worked in small groups supervised by the English teacher in order to: a. suggest questions b. set the max number of questions Step 3 : decide questions. Students have selected the questions that seemed more coherent with the survey’s objectives.

5 Step 4 : The ICT teacher has worked with the class splitting the students in small groups in order to teach them the strategies to create a survey ( type of questions, type of options in the replies , ranking scales etc). Step 5 : the English teacher sends the link of the survey to the teachers involved in the project, who will send it to their students Step 6 : students work on the results of the survey with the Physics teacher and prepare a presentation for the event on 31st May.
