2 Make a flashcard for each word part.
On the front of the card, write the word part. (Front of card) bio __ On the back of the card at the top, write the definition for the word part. In the middle, write a sample word and its definition. (Back of card) life Example: biology = study of life

3 oid = Anthropoid = resembling man
Examples: Anthropoid = resembling man Geoid = resembling earth Resembling (like) Humanoid = resembling a human

4 Poly = Polysyllable = many syllables
Examples: Polysyllable = many syllables Monopoly = one over many Many (much) Monopolism = belief in one over many

5 __ic/tic = Psychic = having to do with the mind
Examples: Psychic = having to do with the mind Biotic = having to do with life Having to do with (having/being) [When used as an Adjective] Romantic = having to do with romance Problematic = having to do with a problem

6 __ic/tic = Person who is/has
Examples: Romantic = person who uses romance Psychic = person who uses the mind Person who is/has [When used as a Noun] Asthmatic = person who has Asthma

7 __ologist = Specialist (expert) Geologist = specialist about the earth
Example: Geologist = specialist about the earth Zoologist = specialist about animals Specialist (expert) Musicologist = music specialist Anthropologist = specialist about humans

8 __meter/ometer = Measuring (device that measures/one who measures)
Examples: Speedometer = device that measures speed Geometer = measuring the earth Measuring (device that measures/one who measures) Drunkometer = devise that measure drunkeness

9 ex = Ex-teacher = former teacher
Examples: Ex-teacher = former teacher Ex-singer = former singer Former (past) Ex-school = former school
