What is a Password Manager A password manager is a service that remembers your passwords, so you don’t have to. What we do LastPass encrypts and decrypts your data locally on your machine and never has the key to your vault. LastPass syncs everywhere with support for all browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.

What is Single Sign-On Single Sign-On, or SSO, connects you to your work apps without the need to enter passwords. What we do Behind the scenes, LastPass uses a secure protocol called SAML 2.0 that authenticates you to a service, rather than a traditional password on a login page. Once your LastPass admin configures the apps that will be using SSO, they will appear in your LastPass portal, too.
