Issue: Nordstrom’s wishes to survey ten of their 300 employees. Employees are numbered 1 to 300. Objective: Use Excel 2007 to generate 10 random numbers between 1 and Values must be integer numbers corresponding to employee numbers

On the Data tab, select Data Analysis Select Random Number Generation

Distribution = Uniform Parameters between 1 and 300 Output Range = A1:A10

Resulting list of 10 random numbers. Now to convert them to integers. Resulting 10 random numbers Using the Excel Facilities, convert these numbers to Integers

Select the Home tab Highlight (select) the numbers to be converted to integers These Icons (Note the red circle) can be used to control the number of digits to the right of the decimal point. Each click will move the decimal point in one direction. Use the left icon to convert the column to integers
