Time Management

WELCOME Activity 1: FOAM BALL EXPERIMENT:
You will be placed into two groups. There are several items placed in front of you. Try to get all the items into the bucket but DO NOT go above the top of the bucket. All items must be level with the top. You have 5-10 minutes. GOOD LUCK!

MOST IMPORTANT The point of this activity was to show you that the most important things in your life should come first. The big plastic balls represented things in life which you should prioritize over the little things. Family, school, and work should all take precedence over all other distractions.

SEMI-IMPORTANT The medium size foam balls, plastic eggs, and/or plastic golf balls were examples of things in life that are important but shouldn’t be put first. Ex.) Leisure time, relationships with friends, and sports. These are important but not so urgent that they have to take up most your time.

LEAST IMPORTANT The smallest foam balls or glass marbles/pieces were things that should come after the most important stuff is finished. Things like going out with friends, social media, and excessive spending and shopping do matter but you have to make sure you don’t lose focus on what matters most. These are things that are good to have but they can’t be your main focus..

What are things you think are most important in life?

Paradigm A paradigm is a standard, perspective, or set of ideas. When you change your paradigm you change how you think about something How do you think changing your paradigm could help with time management?
