SOLVING INEQUALITIES BY USING ADD. & SUBTR.
ALGEBRA 1 3-2
3
SOLVING INEQUALITIES IS VERY SIMILAR TO SOLVING EQUATIONS WITH ADDITION OR SUBTRACTION. ADD THE OPPOSITE OF VARIABLES, THEN CONSTANTS TO BOTH SIDES.
4
GRAPHING INEQUALITIES
IS VERY SIMILAR TO GRAPHING EQUATIONS EXCEPT WE ADD SHADING TO THE PROCESS. Let’s review how x=5 looks like on a number line.
5
Graphing Inequalities
Now, for inequalities it could be a closed point for greater than or equal to (> or =), or less than or equal to (< or =). An open point constitutes a < or > symbol without the equals part.
