1. October October 23-27, 2017 What we’re up to: Classroom Updates
Reading: We will be discussing how author’s create imagery in stories and poems. We will be locating words that author’s use, and creating our visualizations. The final major grade for this nine weeks will be the guided reading rubric.
Language Arts: We will review proper nouns. We will complete our poetry books for a major grade.
Math: We will finish up comparing and ordering with a test tomorrow. We will begin telling time. Students will learn to tell time to the hour, 15 minute, half hour, and minute. The test will be October 24.
Science: We will continue to explore how and why we use magnets in everyday life. The science test will be October 25.
Social Studies: We will be comparing maps and globes. Our test will be October 25.
