5 Change to CVV2 Policy As of April 2018, Visa issuers cannot chargeback a transaction if the original authorization was approved but included a CVV2 mismatch response. *Visa Core Rules and Visa Product and Service Rules, April 2018, pg 673

6 Ancestry and CVV2 Mismatch
Historically, just under 3% of all Ancestry transactions result in a CVV2 mismatch.

7 Result of CVV2 Mismatch Transactions
Since March 2018, about 19% of transactions with mismatched CVV2 are approved.

8 Effect of Ancestry Fraud Prevention

9 Bottom Line – Incremental Lift
A simple fraud rule adjustment in response to a policy change resulted in a .28% bump in approvals
