4. HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULE
Students in grades 9-12 take eight courses each year.
MISD High Schools follow a block schedule.
This includes a set of classes on A Day & another set of classes on B Day.
MECHS Freshmen are required to take the following courses:

PreAP World Geography

11. STEM PROGRAMS (2) 1. mathematics five math courses:
Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre Calculus, & AP Calculus or College Algebra

12. TRANSCRIPT FUNDAMENTALS
Students take one college course and earn both high school & college credit.
Letter grades of a D, F or W (withdrawal) will have a negative impact on the student’s academic history.
All grades will follow the student throughout their entire post-secondary studies.
District policy for rank states that all courses will be classified on a two-level system:
Level 1 is multiplied by 1.1 and includes International Baccalaureate (IB), AP, Pre-AP, and dual credit courses.
Level 2 is multiplied by 1.0 and includes all other state-approved courses.
