2. SCH Meeting held on 26th Sept 2012 (1/3)
EU situation:
ACEM Representative could not attend the meeting.
Chairman briefed, (based on information from ACEM)
Commission and IMCO has reached on an agreement.
EURO 4 is being dropped and “EURO 5” will be called as Euro 4.
CBS will be mandatory for “low performance L3” and ABS for others.
Final proposals documents will be published by end December.
Requested ACEM to give details of what transpired in the MCWG meeting on 26th September.
Request SIAM Sect. to follow up.
EU is working out a proposal to reduce the number of amendments (especially in GRE) in ECE Regulation, to reduce their administrative load.
IGRE to be on look out for proposals in GRE

3. SCH Meeting held on 26th Sept 2012 (2/3)
IWVTA:
2 subgroups are working under WP29 for:
IWVTA (chaired by Japan)
Amending 1958 agreement
SIAM Secretariat may take up the subject of 1958 agreement in IHG.
IWVTA details are supposed to be handled by SIAM trade group. 3

4. SCH Meeting held on 26th Sept 2012 (3/3)
Tell tale symbols and controls:
IMMA expects that the proposed amendments to GTR12 and ECE R 60 will be cleared in the GRSG and will be put up for final approval in WP29 session in March 13.
Subsequently in the GRSG session:
Amendment to GTR 12 was accepted and will go final approval to WP29 in March Session.
Amendments to ECE R60 held back for preparing the transitional provisions.
SIAM to keep watch on draft of the transitional provisions. 4

5. TC held on 27th Sept 2012 (1/3) Quadricycle:
FAMI informed that Japan Govt. is considering preparing regulations for quadricycles.
SIAM reported that Indian Govt. has decided to form regulations for quadricycle.
IMMA agreed to include Quadricycle in their activity.
A separate group has been formed.
SIAM to initiate action regarding:
SIAM’s participation in the informal group.
Formation of Indian SIAM group for quadricycles. 5

6. TC held on 27th Sept 2012 (2/3) EFV group:
EFV group is now quite active
Compilation of regional regulations are under way.
EU is considering a delegated act for electric and hybrid “L” category.
EFV group is getting ready for preparing a proposal.
Active participation of SIAM is now needed.
Request Dr Dhinagar of TVS to initiate necessary coordinating activity within SIAM. 6

7. TC held on 27th Sept 2012 (3/3) SCS group:
SIAM has been inactive in SCS meetings and its sub-groups.
A limited amount of interaction by correspondence is taking place in LWG.
Extending scope of ISO to motorcycles functional safety is an active subject.
BIS TED 4 is also is discussing this subject.
BAL is the SIAM nominee to SCS
Request BAL to work out a plan to be active in SCS. 7
