Covalent Bond: formed between nonmetal atoms electrons are shared produces molecules: neutral compounds formed by sharing electrons does not produce ions b/c electrons are not lost or gained

Definitions Polar Molecule: a covalently bonded molecule where electrons are not shared equally; results in a positive end to the molecule and a negative end (ex. H2O)

Definitions Nonpolar Molecule: a covalently bonded molecule with elements that share electrons equally (ex. H2); no oppositely charged ends.
