The predictive effect of negative affects on child (A) or parent (B) self-reported composite symptom scores are shown by the regression lines from longitudinal data analyses. In the regression models, one of the negative affects was used as the predictor variable and self-reported symptom score as the outcome variable, controlling for age, smoking status, and ethnicity.
