(A, B) Upon presentation large, scaly, annular plaques with well-defined, erythematous, raised borders coalescing to produce polycyclic arrays were noted on the patient’s upper and lower back as well as on both arms. (C, D) After 8 weeks of treatment with dapsone (50 mg/day for the first month and subsequently 100 mg/day) the rash disappeared, leaving only a mild peripheral hyperpigmentation with central depigmentation in the affected areas.
