OLS Inner horizontal Surface and Conical Surface
To protect airspace for visual circling prior to landing Approach and Transitional Surfaces Define the volume of airspace which should be kept clear of obstacles to protect the aircraft in the final phase of the Approach-to-Land Manoeuvre Take-Off Climb Surface Provide protection for aircraft taking off with respect to obstacles

OFZ composed of: Inner Transitional Surface (ITS) Balked Landing Surface Inner Approach Surface Surfaces intended to protect aeroplanes from fixed or mobile obstacles during category I, II or III operations when approaches are continued below decision height and during any subsequent missed approach or balked landing with all engines operating normally, It is not intended to supplant the requirement of other surfaces or areas where these are more demanding

Some States Mandate a further surface : The Outer Horizontal Surface with extends from the periphery of the conical surface to a radius of 15,000m from the aerodrome reference point
