3 Academic Team Goals WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER! Your coaches are here to help you! Your teammates are here to help you! We must FIRST work hard to BE GREAT in the classroom……. ….so we can be BE GREAT on Friday nights in the Fall.

4 Academic Team Goals Our team has the following annual goals:
Maintain a team GPA of 2.5 All players will remain eligible during the season All players will graduate on time with their individual class Our team will do the following: Weekly grade and behavior checks Maintain a buddy system for accountability Always seek additional help when needed

5 Coaching Philosophy Main Goals: Football Family:
Building men of character Teaching life lesson after football Sportsmanship Learning the game Football Family: Listen to your coaches Depend on your teammates Love your team

6 Coaching Philosophy Coaching Philosophy Value of Playing Sports:
Team sports teach valuable life skills: discipline, teamwork, perseverance and work ethic Priorities: Family (all encompassing- Faith, Parents, Siblings) Respect your parents and family! Academics Respect your teachers and classmates! Football Respect your coaches and teammates!

7 Player Expectations Academics: Adhere to all School and Team Policies
Stay academically eligible Must be passing 5 classes Adhere to all School and Team Policies Accomplish “no talent issues” Be On Time Make A Great Effort Follow Directions Communicate

8 Player Expectations Have fun, Be Great, and Do Your Job
Be accountable to yourself and your teammates Be a good teammate Genuinely care for each other Playing Time- Is EARNED IN PRACTICE Many factors will come into play and ALL decisions will be will be made by coaches Coaches will explain why decisions are being made, but will not allow the conversation to become a debate

9 We know that you want the very best for your athlete , we do too!
Parent Involvement We know that you want the very best for your athlete , we do too! We will always try to make decisions based on the knowledge that we have acquired and hopefully achieve a balance between what is best for your athlete as well as the football program as a whole. Provide unconditional love and support to your athlete during both successes and failures Be positive with your athlete. Let them know you are proud that they are part of the team Allow your athlete to perform and progress at a level consistent with his ability. Always support the coaching staff when controversial decisions are made. Criticize coaches privately We will be happy to address issues in a timely manner. Your opinion is valued.

10 Parent Involvement Insist on positive behaviors and high level of performance in the classroom. Extracurricular involvement helps enhance academic performance Promote having fun and being a team player Winning is great, but building positive team values is more important Find the time to be an avid booster of ALL school activities Help build a solid support system for all coaches and all athletes See to it that your athlete attends all practices and games

11 What Can You Expect From Us?
Our student athletes are our focus; this is about them, not us We want to teach our players life skills they can use We want our athletes to leave school being better people because they were part of us Be organized and prepared at all times Be a competitive quality football program Be a positive role model Carry ourselves in a professional manner at all times Stress the proper way to play football Be positive with kids. Be balanced with praises and corrections

12 Program Alignment Freshman/Sophomore
Purpose- Teach athletes the basic rules and strategies of football Emphasis- Learn the basic techniques, schemes, and mindset to develop into a player that is mentally prepared for high school football. Weight room- Learn the proper technique for lifts and the necessary work-habits to develop physically into a player prepared for high school football.

13 Program Alignment Varsity Football
Purpose- Teach players the advanced rules and strategies of football Emphasis- Win games by fielding the best team of players possible, who are both mentally and physically prepared to play football at the Varsity level Weight Room- Continue to improve strength, agility, quickness, and endurance to physically dominate opponents

14 Fundraising Each year we perform a number of fundraisers to help meet the needs of our program. Discount Cards Working events/ concessions

15 Upcoming Dates Summer Camp:
June 17-July 31 Monday-Thursday from 4:30pm-7:30pm All levels Off July 1-July 7 Dead week from August 5-11
